Designed to enhance stability during sharpening, the KMFS Vantaedge Floating Spring is ideal for use with large sharpening angles. It fits securely onto the angle head or optional multi-angle head, locking into place thanks to its self-holding design.
When set, the spring elevates the angle head, guide rods, holder, and stone—eliminating the need for the stone to sit fully above the blade. It's not recommended for use with small blades where space is limited.
Also included are stroke limiters, which attach to the guide rods. These prevent the stone from overreaching the edge of wide blades and stop the whetstone and holder from sliding off during sharpening.
