    Let down by cheap fittings

Posted by Likeabrandname on 11th Apr 2020

The belt itself is nice enough: decent leather stitching and a nice buckle; however, within the first week of ownership, one of the cheap, 5.11-branded Chicago screws holding the buckle on spontaneously failed and I had to purchase a replacement set costing me a further £10 and some inconvenience. The cheap components have permanently soured me on this brand, which now definitely seems over-priced, over-hyped and made up from some shoddy parts which detract from the overall quality of the item. This poor quality control doesn't inspire confidence and I won't buy 5.11 again.

    Great Belt, Great Company

Posted by BrianBSnr on 26th Jan 2016

am a big guy at the age where I have some extra weight around the middle and I have problems finding belts that haven't bend out of shape by the end of the day or roll over when I stand up from being seated for a while. I have tried leather belts $20 up to £150 and they all bend and are uncomfortable. So I bought a 5.11 leather belt as a trial and am very impressed, so impressed I bought 2 more. They are comfortable, supportive, strong, don't bend, don't roll, are smart enough to wear with a suit, but casual enough to wear with any trousers. The leather has not discoloured, lost its shine or blackness, or peeled and the belts look as good as the day I received them, in summary the best all round leather belt I have purchased for many years. Heinnie Haynes are excellent, within a couple of hours or ordering online they email confirmation of goods being despatched and then the courier emails me telling me when to expect delivery. Great products, great company

    Excellent Quality

Posted by Tranter on 28th May 2014

Well made and tough, looks and feels like it will last many years. I often checkout belts in stores but they are invariably too soft and thin. Not a problem here. Only one gripe, made in China. Dont be put off, but really, cant we make them here or in the US?

    think twice before buying

Yep like the title say while the belt is holding up, and I had one for 3 months and wear all the time. The problem is that the shine and black are just rubbing off really easy so looks that had it year or two and aged well.
