Excellent with one exception
After getting some really sound advice from HH (as ever) purchased this version, not too expensive, comes with case, right stones for some of these harder abrading steels. Just right. Very easy to set angle, main reason for my buying this was to have an option to set an accurate straight secondary bevel (V edge) on one or two select pieces, namely multi tools, safe queens and a couple of special kitchen knives. In short it’s excellent for most of my needs. However loses a star for two things, one and this applies to most clamp systems, seating a SAK or similar is very hard as the blades are shallow, and on this my pioneer nearly disappears into the holder. Also the holder can wobble, just a touch, simple remedy is after market stabiliser for little monies. This is a great bit of kit just be advised it has its limits like any tool.
