    VIPER KEY TITANIUM RIDGE

Posted by Chriss Wagstaff on 1st Apr 2021

Beautifully crafted. Nice in the hand. Super sharp out of the box. A little on the stiff side to open, but that is why I bought it. I am super careful to not allow my small children anywhere near my blades but this is for everyday carry and in the unlikely event the they picked this up, there is no chance of them opening it to cut themselves. It is a dad heavy so it may hurt their toes to drop it. Lesson learnt, knives are not for children.

    Viper Key Titanium Ridged

Posted by Matt C on 15th Nov 2020

I was looking at a variety of UK legal slip joints for EDC. I wanted somthing with a good steel, I had been looking for a while and finaly went for the Key. The packaging is a box, some reviewers spend ages woryimg about the packing, fine for collecting but this is for edc so box straight into recycling. The leather slilp is ok. The knife. The blade shape is very useable, with great grind lines and a sort of 3/4 choil, you can choke up on it with the tips of fingers for preciece work. I like Bohler steels and the M390 seems good. So far simple stropping has kep it razor sharp. The markings are deep and the fit and finish of the blade including centering and spacing is spot on. The knife. Is thin with solid titanium handle scales and a steel spacer/spring bar. The engineering and symetry is spot on.Blade centered and the ridges are well done. The lock up is hard the knife needs to be dragged open as the resitance from the spring is heavy. For me this is a positive and makes the knife safer. If you are looking for for a great uk edc this is a great choice, its an engineering work of art and everthing you could want in titanium and 390.
