Classic Swiss Army Knife at a bargain price.

Posted by Matthew on 29th Jun 2017

This is a classic two layer full size Victorinox Swiss Army Knife. It has the same tools as a Spartan but with a philips screwdriver instead of a corkscrew. It is small enough for every day carry but still a useful size to do most jobs. Currrntly this is the lowest priced 91mm Victorinox knife and only a quid more than the Classic. In other words, it's a bargain.

So good I bought it again

Posted by Gavin on 30th Nov 2016

I love this knife and carried one for years. When the original went missing, there was only one choice to replace my tinker: another tinker! It is the perfect step between carrying a "full" SAK and carrying a blade-only pocket knife. The tools are all useful. Like a lot of Brits I don't drink a lot of wine so a corkscrew was always wasted space on a pocket knife for me. The Phillips head screwdriver is much more useful and lately allowed me to build a desk at work.

    Big boy, too big?

Great knife but I prefer the small Tinker, same tools but more discrete for EDC. I think the small Tinker performs just as well but carries better in the pocket. Totally practical in this crazy world where smaller is better before the Sheeple get you|!

    Solid EDC knife

Posted by thenikjones on 21st Sep 2013

A great little knife, I had a Huntsman but lost it, and have a Hunter for heavy use but large locking blade stops EDC use. The Tinker has everything you need, and is the minimum I would want to carry. I prefer Phillips screwdriver to a corkscrew, and dislike Victorinox scissors. If I lose this I will order another, only way to improve is the option of wooden handle scales. If not the correct tool options - hey, Victorinox offer almost every option. A solid knife from a solid company. HH service is always good too.
