Victorinox Spartan 91mm Folding Knife 18

Classic. Excellent quality stainless steel, sharp and the most recognisable and least threatening knife you can take out of your pocket. For your packed lunch, odd jobs, and sharpening pencils have one in your desk, bag or pocket and nobody cares unless your getting on a plane.....

Bought my first one in 1971, as 'Standard' model,( same tools but minus toothpick and tweezers) , which I still have, in my display cabinet. Have tried all sorts and makes as EDC knife, over the years since 1971, but this is ideal, there is not much you cannot do with a Spartan !!!

Received my Spartan today in your usual speedy manner. The knife is everything I was looking for, no unnecessary tools and a razor sharp legal carry main blade. Will not be leaving my side from now on.

Excellent knife and excellent tools. The lock up on everything is really tight. One thing I was not expecting is that everything has a good half stop. This is where the various blades/tools open half way and stop before opening the rest of the way. You only usually see this on more expensive slip joint knives, it acts as an added safty feature to stop knife blades closing on your fingers. However, on these knives the half stop works to be really smooth in the first stage of opening, then a strong stop at the half stop and a much stiffer stage from half open to fully open. This results in everything having an smooth glide to half way then a strong snap to fully open. The way they're easily opened and strongly lock up is really remarkable, top that with really good steel, very useful tools top that off by being a lightweight and compact design makes this a winner in my book. For the price they are in a different league to anything you'll get in a similar price range.

For EDC, there is nothing else that comes close. I've had one since the age of 11 (31 years ago) and it still gets used. Updated to the new version, because it's worth it and I'll pass it on to my kids.

Brilliant EDC knife! Excellent quality and highly recommend one. Easy to sharpen and very rust resistant. Victorinox are great! If you keep good care of it these knives can last a lifetime!

I have used one of these for about 8 years. Not too big & always in my pocket. The mix of tools is spot on for every day use.
