    Nostalgic purchase

    Posted by 243 on 7th May 2018

Ordered this 11am Thurs. & received it 16.00 Friday! Lovely item- perfect size, sharp, hefty, well made & finished & looks great. Reminds me of my first penknife brought back by my mum from a day trip to Blackpool. Recommended - a bargain @ only £9.

    Buy One

Buy one............that's all I can say really. For £8.95 you get a solid brass knife with good snap and is very sharp. No blade play at all . Fit and finish is as good as many case knives I have. Tell the truth I bought a second one as I liked it so much. Recommended. Ruukuu

    copy cat

This knife is a copy of a traditional French knife [Coursolle] still produced by local artisans in France.. . https://www.couteaux-berthier.com/couteau-coursolle-le-charretier-ref-294-coursolle,fr,4,COURSOLLE294.cfm

    Have to be quick

Posted by david on 15th Sep 2017

As soon as I have finished this review I am going to order another as I didn't realise just how good these knives were. For the price they are amazing but even for twice the price I would have bought a 2nd. You would really have to be picky to come up with a reason to give less than 5 stars. I asked Heinnie to let me know when they were in stock and received a confirmation email yesterday. One was delivered this afternoon and I have been showing it around to whoever will stop and listen in my family. My wife looked at me with great suspicion when I insisted it only cost £10! Even she was amazed when I showed her the proof. Right, just off to order another!

    GOOD

Posted by snakeye on 19th Jul 2017

Very nice knife, embossing is well done, brass scales are quite thick and not hollowed out on the inside so feels solid in the hand, blade is standard 440 stainless steel and was very sharp out of the box. I hope rough rider and heinne bring some more brass embossed designs

    Sells out quickly!

Posted by Huggybear on 14th Jul 2017

Arrived today..... quite a solid well built knife , nicely decorated ,blade opens smoothly and cuts well enough out of the box . I think its definitely one for your collection rather than every day use ,not sure its up to too much heavy work . It sells out quickly ,i missed the last batch so when i saw they were back in stock two days ago i ordered one straight away . They have now sold out again ! Brilliant HH service once again . HH how about stocking some others in this range like the Rough Rider Brass Wolf Folder . I reckon its a 4 star built knife but gets 5 stars from me cos its like the ones i had when i was a kid .

    Not Disappointed!

Posted by Al on 14th Jul 2017

Agree with previous reviewer . This knife is hard to fault for the money. and is a bit different for Rough Rider but still a traditional. folder. Potential for an interesting series of embossed images and blade types would be fun for a collector. A bit shiny at the moment but am sure will improve as it dulls down. Comfortable to hold and embossing aids grip, unobtrusive in the pocket, and sharp enough for everyday tasks.; like it very much!

    Excellent.

Received this little beauty this morning. Well made, half stop, no blade play, very sharp. Hope rough rider will be making more of these featuring different themes. Great for EDC and uk legal. A bargain. Get one you won't be disappointed.
