QSP Hedgehog Micarta Folding Knife

18+ UK Friendly carry

Reminiscent of a razor design and certainly as sharp, the QSP Hedgehog is a very neat little folder. The blade is non-locking and under 7.6cm (three inches) long, making it UK friendly carry and, like a razor, has a deep hollow grind which allows for an extremely fine hair-splittingly-sharp edge.

The handle is a made of micarta in a choice of denim or green which makes the knife very resillient to hard use even in the outdoors. The blade is made from 14C28N stainless steel with a razor shape and a flat edge. It has a half stop to the open position to help prevent accidental closure during use.

A lanyard hole allows you to accessorise your knife with a lanyard of your choice.

My new favorite knife, made for slicing from the off, feels great and well balanced. A real winner!

Well what can I say, this is lovely knife. This was my very first qsp and for £40 I wasn't disappointed at all. The build quality is next to none. Grab one while you've got the chance. All round 5* from me

After 6 months of use… Outstanding!

Posted by Leo C. on 11th Jul 2023

Upon arrival: Brilliant fit and finish. Backspring perfectly flush with the scales. Centering spot on. No gaps. Really nicely textured and grippy micarta. Denim on my example. Firm and solid-feeling back spring with a good audible thud. Blade stock is a relatively thick 3mm but being quite a pronounced full-hollow grind it is almost straight razor-esq in its geometry and becomes very thin behind the edge. After 6 months of good, hard use: Steel is well matched to the blade; its tough (I know first hand) yet holds an edge very well and is easy to bring back to hair-popping after hard use. Ergos are great. The firm and solid feeling backspring is consistently reassuring in use. Edge is slicing perfection and very easy to maintain. Overall The Hedgehog is the perfect U.K. EDC in my opinion, and is fast becoming a firm favourite. If you like its looks, just buy it, you won’t regret it. This is fine quality knife from QSP, outstanding for the price!

This is a very sharp little knife. Ideal as an EDC, it both looks amazing and feels brilliant in the hand. A non-brainer.

    QSP Hedgehog Micarta

Posted by Martin Atton on 22nd Mar 2023

The Hedgehog was purchased in response to the enjoyment I already get using my QSP Penguin. I love the blade shape, but sadly with a lock, the Penguin can't be my regular "go to" EDC knife. The Hedgehog can! I would have preferred the Penguin's D2 steel, but 14C28N should perform like VG10, so no complaints on this score. The Hedgehog is a little beauty! The grippy Micarta scales look and feel great & the blade geometry makes for great slicing and general cutting tasks. The positive back spring tension & half way stop, make opening and shutting the blade satisfying and secure. Terrific fit and finish, unique design & great value for money Welcome to the collection!

    QSP HEDGEHOG MICARTA

Posted by Gerwyn Weaver on 25th Feb 2023

This is a beautiful piece of QSP work the fit and finish on this hedgehog is really top notch. The blade grind is bang on and the edge is perfect with a razor sharp finish. The walk and talk on this piece is very satisfying not a soft smooshie job but a nice crisp snap with a good bit of strength on the fold down required. All in all a very well done and worth buying knife that’s for sure . One you won’t regret buying.

    A great knife!

Posted by Stuart on 4th Feb 2023

This not only looks good but feels great in hand. A good strong slip-joint, with a stop half-way and a sharp blade out of the box. After owning a couple of knives at a similar price point, this feels like it should command a higher price. Very tempted to pick up another one… or two.
