Disclaimer: I've had a good look a while but have had it an hour:
I can't deny the quality of this bag, it feels the part-convincingly durable and the velcro kinda pockets for delegate tech/screens is very smooth to the touch but gives option to double with a velcro MOLLE/PALs insert on either or both sides, albeit more a sleeve than an extendable pocket at this end
The main area has three sleeve pockets, one mentioned above at the thigh which is large enough I'm sure, for tablets albeit narrowER at the bottom
One shorter sleeve on the outer side
One deeper sleeve above and behind that, with elasticated PALS kinda webbing in between them-three loops, 2" gaps
One loop above, perhaps to tether devices from falling as opposed to the outer tether for easy grab and removal; short
On the front-outside pocket, I'm guessing 6" wide-square in dimension with a guess of 3:1 taper due to the construction making it more aerodynamic, and I like this
Ykk zips, waterproof and untested by myself, they look and feel good quality likewise
The rear-back sleeve, probably the concealed variant, is of velcro with a pull tab-short, in my opinion, especially with gloves
One thing I was disappointed over, was how the belt is sewn into the bag. I'd been checking this product out a while and didn't notice it being sewn in there. The leg loop is removable, but if I unstitched the belt, I'd need to re-sew and I'm still wondering if I'm comfortable modding that or if I should take it to a seamstress; the cordura has a plastic backing for rigidity and in a sense, padding, so I appreciate this but would much prefer the ability to thread my real leather/outdoor belts to it as opposed to wearing an extra. That said, let's relate to hand bags and 'druggie bags' everyone's leg-humping over nowadays, they have much longer straps which would get in the way. But a big part of my EDC would be to put it down somewhere if I wanted, and not risk tripping or knocking anything. Like if on a table, tangled among drinks, or trailing on the floor. Hence, the velcro strap on the rear I'm sure for a proper belt but nonetheless made me think the included nylon would be interchangeable. Perhaps, for all I know, this makes it behave different or more securely. I haven't pulled it to full length to know if it'll go over my shoulder nor am interested in that configuration but I can imagine it can comfortably do that.
This website also shows the product as grey, which is what I chose over black or green on other sites. It was black and I can't imagine it being a colour technicality online. Grey would make it far less military looking, I imagine, and that would reduce suspicion with SIA or authorities (I don't carry anything dodgy, purely EDC-innocent things amounting to volume between a bag and trouser pockets/s bulging).
That said, these are relatively small criticisms which may be ignorant of design practicalities or digital problems respectively. It's the best bag design I've seen online and I can't expect things my way, of course. plus modding is always possible but people are hesitant to risk such things even with a seamstress often because of warranties but once I've decided to keep this I'll give it a go; no offence meant to the designers
The stitching, materials, durability, versitility, comfort etc are amazing, tempting a 5 star review, but my opinion is still on the waist strap bringing its potential down. Maybe this'll change, not having to unbelt when I remove the bag from my person for whatever reason-i appropriate in a public place or around innocence for example, hence thinking the velcro loop on the back would make it convenient. But it's difficult to remove or don with a belt. A belt clip would be cool but may not be secure, and uncomfortable if pressed against the hip. I'm wondering if the PALS layer could instead be velcro, still secure and easy to use, minimum profile etc. I presume.
The MOLLE/PALs is neat, I think the laser cut makes it more civilian and less assuming, and I'll add a magazine pouch for my vape onto there. The size of the bag is altogether way bigger than I expected, yet it's the same size as expected by appearance-i hope that makes sense. Low profile, not boxy or presuming I guess, smooth aerodynamic shape, I think I really like it
