Opinel Classic Original No. 6 - INOX Stainless Steel Folding Knife 18

Opinel is a classic, love the simplicity and quality, this one came sharp out of the bag, as I would have sharpened it myself. I'm a big fan of Heinnie, these guys are pros. From the invoice printed in colours and high quality, to the care of always sending a catalogue. These details are not taken for granted and make every purchase with them special. From a guy there checks the Restaurant's Napkins grade to predict the food and overall quality (I do believe it's good indicator) my 10/10 to HH as usual.

I’ve had many Opinels over the years and have never once had a problem with the factory edge, they have always been shaving sharp straight out of the box. This one however wasn’t just a slightly dull edge that could have done with a good strop like some new knives you get. This one literally had NO EDGE at all on it! It wouldn’t have been able to cut a thing!! I was really surprised! I had to put my own edge on the blade, which took a fair bit of work which I really wasn’t expecting to do with a brand new Opinel. I’m guessing their quality checks have gone down hill big time in recent years!! So all in all not very happy!

Used Dovo straight razors for a few years now. Best shaves I have ever experienced. Recently tried using knives occasionally. Of all sorts tried, Opinel works best. Stropping is the key. Very good results, comparable to using a straight. Sandvic is an excellent stainless, and easy to maintain edge. Number 7 is a good all around size for this purpose. Properly maintained will last for decades. No plastic as with disposable razors. A tiny fraction of the cost of even a basic straight razor of any decent quality. Adds interest to an otherwise tedious morning ritual. Excellent service and delivery. Nice one, HH!

This thing is God-tier. It's the AK-47 of knives. Very cheap, and fair to say, bloody awesome. It's worth every pound. If you are thinking of a little cheap EDC knife, buy this (ranges no. 3 to no. 6), just pry off the locking system and bing bang boom a UK legal carry knife.

Can’t be beaten for the money, keep this in my bag at all times mainly for food prep at lunch time.

This is my 2nd opinel (sum1 borrowed my 1st, permanently) I load up & unload Ships at the Docks. Always seem to need a sharp knife these are the best & fit in a pocket. Very easy to keep sharp as well. Highly recommended

The knife is good but service wasn’t professional. I clearly ordered a Number 8, they sent me a Number 7. Telling me that orders are not checked correctly

A simple design that stood the test of time. Razor sharp and ready to use. Inexpensive and a handy tool to keep in your rucksack or bag. Highly recommend.

Bought a carbon steel version by mistake. Sorry ,nice looking lightweight knife but unuseable due to rust.. This stainless version is identical and cleanable! It was wanted as a fruit cutting knife whilst at work outside. Twist lock is a must and works ,it is light use only though
