Description

LionSteel T5 Micarta. The hallmark of LionSteel, the exposed full tang fixed blade, has become a speciality of the company over the years with the SR-1, SR-11, and TiSpine. The technical perfection with which LionSteel implements this concept has wowed knife fans all over the world and is a prime example for the virtuosity with which LionSteel has mastered CNC fabrication.

Such a design concept has now been implemented with this exceptional knife, the Lion Steel T5. An impressive Micarta block is CNC shaped and encloses the tang of the Lion Steel T5 Micarta seamlessly on three sides, which looks and feels very special. The tang goes through the handle and protrudes a bit at the end, making it suitable for hammering.

The satined blade is made from the high-performance steel Niolox which has already proven itself in numerous other models and has superb edge retention. Delivery includes high-quality black leather sheath.

    Possibly the best knife I own. The fit, finish and construction in general is essentially perfect. Comfortable and well-balanced and that perfect size where you have the ideal balance between portability and functionality. Sheath very well made and retains the knife very well. An excellent fit. Molle straps on the back fitted less than perfectly on mine. Lower one is not snug while upper one is so tightly fitted that the leather strap is never coming out.... Can I suggest we all save ourselves time with an acronym? HUFFS= Heinnies Usual Fantastically Fast Service..

    Another beautiful fixed-blade from LIONSTEEL, another stylish design from MOLLETTA. You might think the T5 is an M5, with an M7 handle bolted on. It is in fact so much more, a great new design. Blade - 5". Stock - 5.01mm. Handle - 4.75". Extended Tang - .25". Lanyard Hole - .25". Balance Point - .25" in front of 1st scale bolt. All specs.approx. The blade has a perfect, well ground bevel. Instead of a thumb-ramp, you get a thumb-recess - it works well. The Monolithic or Integral micarta handle has palm-swell, and is lightly textured. The sturdy leather scabbard fits like a glove, and smells nice. It has a 2.5" belt loop, good snaps, and a drain port behind the MOLLE strap. It is stamped "HAND MADE IN ITALY", on the back. I would not be upset, if LIONSTEEL offered a kydex / cordura M7 style scabbard option, for this model. There are some video reviews on YouTube. I even saw one in English. Thanks to HH for a great price. I am very pleased with my purchase.
