Leatherman Raptor Shears

I am a hospital Porter in a UK hospital, I bought these because when I need scissors the standard NHS ones are OK ish but small & just 'cut'. I needed something more substantial & working in A+E I needed more,basically everything that these offer, only had them 1 week & used them every day, had a few positive comments about them. I carry them fully closed & horizontal in the sheath with is also very strong & very good fit. I have them on my belt on the left hip & don't notice them, when I needed them I could open them in about 3 seconds & same to close them. TOP quality tool, finishing is perfect & will probably out last me. Worth every penny. Buy from HH beware of the copies on other sites!

Very good. Remember that these are designed to cut clothing without damaging the wearer. so they don't have sharp points and won't cut close in. But they work well as designed. My only issue is that the lanyard hole is difficult (not impossible) to attach to when it is in the holster. The strap cutting hook is very good. Would buy again.

Very impressed very sharp, several useful tools and fold up well, Only one niggle - the sheath makes using the lanyard attachment point (essential, IMO, for something so expensive) tricky - but not impossible. Excellent service too. Just one question, is it UK street-legal?

Ok yes they are basically scissors for £70+, I know it sounds crazy, but these are like the Abrams Tank of scissors. They will cut just about anything, in any weather, without fail. I know I've tried it. These will be the last scissors you will ever buy. You will wonder how you ever got by with the usual rubbish scissors that generally struggle to even cut cardboard, these Raptors eat cardboard for breakfast and just about anything else, even metal!!!

well made , well thought out the best shears you can get bit expensive but worth every penny.

I've been using these on frontline EMS duties since they first came out and they are amazing. Still as sharp as when I first got them and I have found nothing that they wouldn't cut through like butter. The ring cutter works brilliantly as does the strap cutter and the addition of the O2 wrench is surprisingly useful for when your crewmate has managed to loose the key off the Entonox. Be aware that when folded out these are much longer than the standard issue tuffcuts, so they don't really fit in standard holster pouches. However the ability to fold them down is brilliant and makes them much easier to move around with. The plastic holster that comes with them also works very well and solidly locks the shears in place. Yes they are damn expensive, quality always is and having had the cheap issue shears bend on body armour I trust these completely. If there was a 5+ on the star system they'd get it
