The story of the Fairbairn Sykes Commando knife begins with the first pattern in November 1940. Due to demand and shortage of raw materials during the war the design was altered to this 3rd pattern in October 1943.
Made by John Nowill in Sheffield this replica closely echoes that design by sticking to the the original MOD specification; black carbon steel blade and blacked zinc cast handle. It is supplied with a leather belt sheath with steel tip.
