The John Nowill British Pattern Survival Knife is a British-pattern survival knife made in Sheffield to original British MOD specifications. The blade is made from Carbon steel and measures 17.5cm (7in) long and 0.6cm (¼in) thick, with strong wooden scales, held to the tang with black-coated copper rivets. This version is uncoated and features a notch in the back of the blade to enable the use of a firestriker.
It's never going to win any beauty contests, but it more than makes up for that in its all-round usability. This is a hefty tool, designed to be used, and constructed to last. It has a balance in the hand that can only be appreciated in the flesh, but once you’ve put your trust in this companion, it should last you a lifetime.
The knife is supplied with a sturdy black leather sheath which is designed to be worn on the left side of the body. The blade is stamped with the NATO number:4240-99-127-8214J.ADAMS 1999...and the MOD broad arrow.
