Description

The Fox Parus is designed specifically to be used and abused in the outdoors as a survival tool. The edge of the blade is shaped and angled to be adept at chopping and whittling. The jimping too is positioned in two places to support the thumb in both uses. Despite its fairly compact size it will tackle some tough tasks.


The multi grind blade is made using N690Co stainless steel with black Cerakote coating to prevent corosion and reflection in stealth mode. The handle is Forprene which is formed to sit in the hand beautifully even in the wet.


The Fox Parus with Survival Kit is supplied with a nylon belt sheath and an abundantly supplied survival kit which can sit on the sheath with Molle attachments.

    Well, a remarkable knife in many ways. A couple of video reviews show it to be quite versatile and capable as a camp knife and light chopper. Remarkably sharp with a well-made sheath, but......... My fault I suspect, but unless I've missed something, there is only one way to carry it on a belt and that is a dangler, which I can't stand....never mind. Adapt. Minor blemish to extreme tip of blade. Possibly of no consequence but will keep an eye on it. Usual mix of gear in the very good 'survival' tin. Will tailor it to my needs but it is well-made and in a good, MOLLE type pouch. Not everyones cup of tea I suspect, but dare to be different!

    Another great product from FKMD. When you hold the Parus, the first thing you notice is how blade-heavy it is. With it's 6.1mm stock, and balance point 1.25" in front of the first scale bolt, you know it's going to chop well. The second thing you notice, is how comfortable it is in the sabre-grip, and the choke-up grip. The blade has sophisticated blade geoetry, the front portion is flat-ground, and the rear portion is hollow-ground. It has a strong tip, where all the grinds converge. You always get a good scabbard from FKMD. This has mil-spec snaps, a drain-port, QD belt loop, and a MOLLE strap on the back. The survival kit complete's the package. Check out "Bush Camping Tools" on YouTube, for a field review - 7.15 min. This would make good gift for any "outdoors" person, Young or old, male or female. Thanks to HH for a great price. I am very pleased with my purchase.
