Fallkniven - Committed to producing the best performing steels through research and testing. When you buy a Fallkniven knife you don't need to worry whether the steel will last the distance because Fallkniven have done the worrying for you. Every steel they produce is thoroughly tested before it is sent to customers around the world. They also constantly look to improve in a never ending pursuit of the perfect blade!

The Fallkniven F1 VG10 Wolf uses steel with higher levels of Tungsten than ever before thus improving strength, edge resillience and corossion resistance. By placing this steel in the F1, one is inclined to ask the question "is this the best outdoor knife the world has ever seen?" We'll let you be the judge of that - but it's a very good question.

This knife is available with either an elegant leather or paractical, washable Zytel sheath.

    F1 in VG10 Wolfram

Posted by TU on 15th Sep 2023

Time will tell how the latest steel performs but the upgrade to this famous knife is welcome. As is the new sheath with the secure fastener, a vast improvement on the original sheath. Strange that this package now gets a better sheath than other more premium (and expensive) versions of the same knife. All in all this is a wonderful knife, packaged with a fitting sheath. Beautiful design and construction. An extremely capable knife but within manageable size and weight.

    Modern Classic

First of all well done Heinnie, ordered Weds afternoon and received 2pm Thurs! Excellent service as usual. As for the knife, just a stunning example of a great reliable tool with an upgraded steel without breaking the bank. The sheath is a massive upgrade too. whats not to lilke!

    Great knife

Posted by James Walter on 14th Mar 2023

I’ve been doing a monthly bushcraft course and going from a Mora to this is quite a leap, really capable knife, even with my bad sharpening techniques this thing relentlessly goes through anything I throw at it

    An updated classic

Posted by Andy on 26th Dec 2022

I used an f1 for 3 years as my main guiding knife, it field dressed everything from muntjac to moose in Sweden, Canada, the U.K. and Germany. The nice thing about carrying a fallkniven is you’re quite happy to knuckle down and build a hide, split some kindling, or prepare dinner too. I left my old one in a hunting lodge in Sweden and missed it hugely. In my opinion the f1x and the f1 pro are not worth the extra spend unless you just like the tech and the design better. The standard f1 is a classic & I’m glad not to be without one again.

    Fallknivem F1 VG10 Wolf / Zytel Sheath

Posted by Nigel Whitaker on 7th Oct 2022

I had been wanting to purchase a Fallkniven F1 for quite some time, but the sheer variety of models confused me... I liked the idea of the 'Classic' F1 - Issued to the Swedish Air Force for many years, but then which steel to buy ? I chose the VG10 - Wolf (Am I right in thinking a greater Tungsten composition in the steel?) Anyhow, the knife was ordered and arrived - The factory edge (Scandi-Vex) is highly suitable to stropping, and indeed is my first venture into stropping... The newly updated Zytel sheath with positive lock 'switch' is as secure as you will ever need, it's not coming out, when locked in. I may buy other Fallkniven knives in the future, but it was somehow important to start my journey with the 'Classic' F1.
