Extrema Ratio Fulcrum Black 18

Purchased the desert version of this blade in the clearance sale. Made the mistake of ordering whilst I was away without the opportunity to return within the prescribed time frame. I enquired and was refused which was fair enough although the blade was still being sold. The reason I would have returned it was based on the considerable blade movement and noise when it was used in its sheath. For a tactical blade this seems to be an unforgivable oversight in production. I believe there are possible Heath Robinson fixes and that Extrema have rectified the issue with more recent adaptations but it's a design flaw that leads me to being disappointed in the overall package. The blade itself is of excellent quality as previous reviewers have mentioned but the locking system and then internals of the sheath let it down. Perhaps I just got a duff one. Either way be prepared to have to fix the issue. HH as usual offered an excellent shipping service.

Another late review by me! Sorry! Totally agree with the previous reviews. This is my Number 1 go-to knife, wether it's for work in some remote location or for chopping down a tree in my back garden, or digging out a brick from a wall (sorry but I didn't have a chisel to hand!). I have yet to find a more robust, easy to handle yet precise knife either as a workhorse for strong, or delicate work. And I have bought and tried a lot. My version has the geometric camouflaged blade but that just makes it look pretty! HH, thank you as ever.

JUNE - 2016, Extrema Ratio currently have 7 bayonets in production, all based on the Fulcrum. This full size model is without a doubt their strongest fixed-blade. The 7" blade has a wide polished bevel. The balance point is just in front of the hilt. This is quite simply a beautiful fixed-blade, and a pleasure to own. The top quality scabbard has a click-fit hard insert, and a double snap retaining strap. Thanks to HH for a great price. I am very pleased with my purchase !

It's best tac field knife I now have in my collection. Top knife recommend it to anyone.
