Not air tight or water tight. Not the best machinery finish. Still a handy litttle box. I find it great to store left over food and reheat direct on BCB stove on a daytrip or one night camp out, eliminating the need for a pan.

A good little tin to put some essential survival items in. For some reason, the one I had has a fold in one of the corners. I have had to reshape that but it’s still a handy piece of equipment to have in your pocket/kit with survival gear inside.

Half the price of Amazon - so that's good. I would rate these tins as "adequate". They are superior to conventional tobacco tins as they close securely and are water resistant - the seal is water resistant only. The finish is pretty poor, sharp edges and they chip and bend easily. They are reasonable for the price if you are looking to replace conventional tobacco style tins.

Ideal, and so much better than a Tobacco. holds all my tinder & fire lighting kit. And it keeps contents DRY ! Recommended !!!

I have had one of these for over 10 years. Mine was used from a Marine. I use it as a survival tin and believe me it’s like Dr Who’s tardis. It is crammed with everything you need in a survival situation including fire, medical and cutting. The end clips keep everything secure. A no brainier in my opinion and a very good price at Heinnie Haynes.
