The go to first light
I purchased this to go in my Land Rover Defender, as a easy to reach, small compact torch that would sit in my sun visor organizer. It’s slim light and fits nicely in the hand. The on off switch is positive and slip resistant the light is bright white and nicely focused providing instant vision in a dark vehicle, when you don’t want to be messing around with finding a switch for the interior light. A benefit is it uses AAA batteries which are common to the other two torches in the Defender. I have other Streamlight products and have always been amazingly well engineered and while I would say the same for this one it does have one minor flaw. The pocket clip is very tight which means it takes two hands to open and change batteries since the clip scrapes on the barrel of the torch as you undo the switch cap. This also causes awkwardness when re-seating the switch cap to close the torch after replacing the batteries. Unfortunately you lose a star for this one. Overall an excellent choice from a trusted manufacturer.
