Designed by Spyderco co-founder and Blade Magazine Hall of Fame member Sal Glesser, the Bodacious is named after an American bucking bull that became famous as “the world’s most dangerous bull.” Inspired by that legendary animal’s indomitable spirit and impressive strength, the Spyderco Bodacious is a hell-for-stout folding knife designed for unfailing reliability. Its broad, leaf-shaped blade is full-flat ground from CPM® S30V® stainless steel and features a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole for swift, one-handed deployment with either hand.
The knife’s handle is built on a framework of skeletonized stainless steel liners nested within smooth G-10 scales and reinforced by a minimalist stainless steel backspacer. In addition to providing impressive structural strength, the liners form the foundation of the knife’s ultra-reliable Compression Lock® mechanism. They also provide a secure mounting platform for its broad-based pocket clip, which is reversible for left or right-side tip-up carry and straddles a generously sized lanyard hole for the easy attachment of fobs and safety lanyards.
This version of the Bodacious is an all-black configuration featuring a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) blade coating and matching black-coated liners, clip, and hardware.
