Hogue EX-F01
What a great design by Allen Elishewitz. Just top quality from Hogue. The "G-Mascus" handle has a hint of palm-swell, and is beautiful. The "cryogenic" A2 steel blade has a perfect polished bevel. Don't forget to oil it. The slim handle is designed for the classic "sabre" grip. "Choke-up", "Hammer" and "Ice-pick" (thumb wrapped around) are also good. It has a "parrots-beak" butt, and a "glass-breaker" extended tang. IF, your hand size is XXL, the "parrots-beak" feature might bug you. Blade - 7" long. Handle - 4.75" long. Stock - 6mm thick. Extended tang - 3mm long. Balance point - at the ricasso. All specs. approx. The nylon scabbard is "mil-spec". The injection-moulded hard insert, offers a perfect fit. The retention straps are adjustable, and removable. It has a MOLLE back, and a built-in leg extention. All the snaps are mil-spec. There are plenty of Youtube videos of the EX-F01 available, the ones by the designer Allen Elishewitz are of particular interest. Thanks to HH for a great price. I am very pleased with my purchase !
