Elk is born from the encounter between pragmatic simplicity in Nordic design and the centuries old manufacturing traditions of Maniago, Italy. Designed by Tommaso Rumici, this fixed blade is Antonini's first and is the soul of Antonini's 'Heritage' phase of knife-making, celebrating the roots of classic knife-making.
The blade is 14C28N stainless from Alleima, vacuum hardened and then cryogenically treated to reach 60 HRC: properly hard for a stainless, with the edge retention to show for it. At 8.8cm with a straight-back profile, it's sized for practical outdoor work, with thick Jimping at the base to strengthen your grip and a cast brass safety guard seperating the blade from the handle.
American walnut scales in a coffin shape are hand finished and offer a classic grip with a slightly deeper, warmer colour. Each knife comes with an Italian full-grain leather sheath suited for ambidextrous carry and vegetabe tanned the traditional Tuscan way.
