Description

Based on the original Razel by Jon Graham, a mechanic turned knifemaker, the CRKT Razel Compact is a powerful pocket fixed-blade with a chisel style profile built to handle the harsh daily conditions of shop life. Its squared chisel blade gives it multi-tool qualities and the black oxide coating protects the steel underneath enabling it to excel in a variety of conditions, including push cutting, scraping, and slicing. This is a working-class everyday fixed blade that’s built to get dirty — but it still cleans up well. The contoured G10 handle gives it a refined fit and finish that feels great in the hand and looks like a premium tool.

The blade itself is made of D2 steel for excellent edge retention with a slightly rounded body and a sharp Veff serration at the top of the blade, not to be confused with jimping. The Razel Compact will hold up to wear and tear over the long haul.

A hard thermoplastic sheath comes standard, with a fitted pocket clip for convenient and comfortable carry.

    Handy, great for my work

This is a sharp handy little blade, good quality personally I wish the handle had been just a fraction longer but that's just for my comfort. The issue to me was the Kydex sheath, for me to get this blade out I felt I had to apply enough force that it felt like I was trying to pull a small family car apart. With a blade this sharp I'm just asking for trouble. I fixed this problem by leaving the blade in and then placing it on top of my oil filled radiator, it should take no more than my thumb at the top of the kydex sheath to draw the blade out, but still retain the nice 'click' when I put it away. I worked that for awhile and have had no problems with it so far (but I've only had it for a day, so fingers crossed) It's a nice blade, small but useful.
