Superb little knife with decent blade steel. I have two other urbans and I think there cracking little UK legal knifes and for the money on this one it's hard to beat.

    Decent Spyderco

Posted by M Monaghan on 8th Nov 2021

As a starter, this is much better value and overall proposition, compared to the previous HH G10 special. Yes, the scale colour is a bit rubbish but for what this is/ intended use, it's OK. My only real complaint is the backspring tension that is quite soft. Funnily enough, one of the few positives of the overpriced G10 option with its much stiffer, authoritive and satisfying action. A good knife, recommended.

    Heinnie urban

Posted by Gordon on 5th Nov 2021

I love the urban and have a sprint run version already so when I saw this one I snapped it up. I didn’t fancy the heinnie g10 version after reading some of the reviews, but this one is perfect. I love the ergonomics, size and weight of the urban. Doesn’t take up too much pocket space for when you are legally carrying this little gem. A very safe non locking UK legal tool. The ergonomics make it dare I say impossible for the blade to close on your finger. Handle scales are nice and vivid in real life. Spyderco throw in a little note in the packaging describing this as a Heinnie exclusive which is also nice. Finally the price is awesome. For £70 you are getting an very high quality razor sharp one hand opening blade that is uk legal. Your also getting a premium steel. I paid just under £100 for my AEB-L version of this knife.

Another HH exclusive, another shade of red!

Posted by Peter Whitehouse on 4th Nov 2021

Bought the latest HH Spyderco Urban through duty (as I have all of the other releases) and I have noticed a lot of comments online expressing dissatisfaction at the shade of red being less than agreeable. It's true that the shade is a touch lighter and more pinky/orange than most of the other HH reds, but the Spydercos always have been a slightly different shade. Anyway, other than this the knife is sound enough, good backspring and 'break' on the close as I've come to expect with Spyderco slipjoints. No issues with build quality and fit and finish. If you want a small Spyderco slipjoint in proven bladesteel and at a reasonable price you could do a lot worse.
