Ruike M31
It is inevitable that one compares the S.A.K climber with this Chinese iteration of a truly versatile tool. Neither eclipses the other & both have advantages and disadvantages. The Ruike is a much sturdier beast, with a blade of superior steel, G10 scales , better scissors & vastly improved tweezers. However, the plastic handled Climber is lighter, more compact and feels more comfortable in the hand. It also has an excellent can opener, while the Ruike has a seat belt cutting blade. The bottle openers are virtually identical as are the corkscrews, although the Ruike has a better reamer. The Ruike is a handsome beast with excellent fit and finish, on a par with the S.A.K. I removed the pocket clip as I feel this ruins the knife's ergonomics and made a stainless steel spacer to take up the void where the clip was attached. Value wise, I would have to give it to the climber, which is only about half the price of the Ruike. Taking everything into account however, I will still give the Ruike a five star rating. An excellent tool.
