Historically the cotton sampler knife was used by cotton buyers to judge the quality of cotton by rolling small pieces of material on the section before the blade. Still used in some areas of the States, the Rough Rider Cotton Sampler Micarta is a collectors' piece.
The blade is 440 stainless steel whilst the handle is Denim micarta with nickel silver bolsters. The blade is non-locking with a cutting edge under 7.6cm long making it a UK friendly carry knife.
