Rough Rider Black Mule Bowie

So . This is the second large Bowie I have got from rough rider . The first one the tip snapped with little to no tough use (different model) so I bought this as it appears it's "built tough" now this is a sub 50 pound knife so bear that in mind . I have 2 main gripes 1 the blade came loose within the bonded handle and the tang moves inside when you shake it possibly the three rivets need tightning. No big deal it's a sub 50 knife My main issue is the design of the sheath the button strap is in the wrong place and the large sweep of the Bowie catches it on the way in and the way out and is already cut a third of the way through . It should be pinned on the back and up and over the quillion but it's attached inside the blades track All that being said I am still very happy with it overall It's HUGE it came shaving sharp and other than the loose handle , is built like a tank . Mybey I got unlucky but the issues aren't serious enough to send it back . A good buy well worth the money and stellar delivery from H.H as usual .

I have been looking for a good Bowie for years. This particular knife is outstanding . Well made and great craftsmanship . Perfect for camp work and hunting . Great value for money. Another great product from Rough Rider.

Of all the budget priced Bowie’s on the market the Mule Bowie is the best value. Sharp, well made and strong, what more could you ask for.

I came over to rough rider from being a staunch cold steel man, and l am not disappointed in any way. Everything about this knife is absolutely spot on, from the stunning looks to the way it feels in the hand you literally feel spoilt by it for the price. The blade comes quite sharp and ready to work, the sheath is more than fit for purpose and one of the best of it's type l have seen. If l had to criticise one thing it would be the way all manufacturers insist on putting the latch on the blade and in this case it does try to cut it if you're not careful. But that isn't just this brand it's all of them so I won't mark it down for that as such, minor annoyance. All in all, I'm just in love with this knife and give it a solid 9.9 out of ten.

What an awesome piece of kit , it's absolutely bomb proof . I would highly recommend this beast of a knife .

Nice Bowie for the price. Good sheath but handle is loosely fitted and probably get worse in use.
