After hanging unused on my key ring for a couple of years, when I had need to use it, I found that the insert' had shifted, making the whistle a not whistle ! Expensive mistake.

Got one to replace a lost fenix NW20 and in comparison the NWS10 takes some effort to blow and mine is only 70 to 80 decibels according to 3 different test with 3 different decibel meter phone apps on 3 different phones so no where near the advertised 120db. will be replacing it with a Fenix NW20 as i know i can trust that
Although I've had this for a couple of years without much use, when I did come to need it, it failed. The Teflon actuator inside seems to have spun round. Have tried to fix but to no avail. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, buy several cheap plastic survival ones for the price of this.
Can't bend it break it titanium build, nice, small and unobtrusive. Good for me as I can't whistle for toffee (or to save my life). The concept of using whistle signals has been around for millennia and still works when all your fancy bone-conduction Comms gear fails. Good for Mil, PMC / PSD or anyone who wants to attract attention. Good for the dog too!
So I have a problem - I can't whistle. I don't mean whistle a tune that I can do but as for an ear splitting attention getter¦ not a chance!! Now I have a neat small "ear blaster" around my neck. Just the thing I need at work to avoid getting run over by moving plant... Think it's a bit pricey, but it makes up for it in the ergonomic s department . Very happy!! Oh yes service from Heinnie is great, ordered around 11am received next day 9am!! VERY GOOD!!!
