The MecArmy FM16 tactical MOLLE light manages to fulfil a specific and valuable purpose. Unlike conventional hand held flashlights a MOLLE light will sit on your duty vest, belt or pack and project the beam at a right angle to the body of the torch. It is therefore possible to carry and position the beam hands free. For emergency services, military or general outdoor use this set-up is extremely useful.
With a 1000 lumen output the FM16 certainly punches above its weight and with three other levels of power and a strobe, all operated with an ingenious “see-saw” dual switch, functionality and usability is outstanding.
The FM16 uses a 16340 Lithium Ion rechargeable battery (supplied) that is able to be charged via the USB connector in just 90 minutes. It is also compatible with a 18350 rechargeable battery (not supplied) which will give the 1000 lumen output. Once fully charged the 18350 battery will provide 4 hours of light.
Not only is there a very strong pocket clip but the end of the body has a magnet allowing the user even more carry and positioning options.
