The blade is crafted from laminated VG7 steel, featuring a well-engineered VG7 core for the edge, flanked by tough, all-stainless 420J2 steel on both sides. This innovative combination delivers a perfect balance of key properties: resilience, torque resistance, and exceptional edge durability.
While a 5 mm thick blade alone provides ample strength for most tasks, the use of laminate technology enhances its performance even further. It offers approximately 20% greater resistance to bending compared to a standard VG7 blade, making it an outstanding choice for demanding applications.
The NL4's handle consists of specially selected ox-hide, sadly a material that is usually overlooked by manufacturers, but which gives a sure and rugged grip. It ages beautifully and as the years pass it acquires an attractive brown patina, and it is unaffected by oil and solvents and impervious to water.
As with all Fallkniven knives, a convex edge has been adopted. This is considered to be the ultimate combination of cutting performance and edge strength.
The sheath is made of black leather of the highest quality.
