The design of this beautiful hunting knife follows the basic principles of Swedish minimalism – that the design should be simple, neat and functional.

To this basic but highly effective foundation, Fallkniven have added their laminated cobalt steel, which is world renowned for its ability to take and keep a pin sharp edge. Of course, the edge is a convex grind, the sharpest/strongest edge construction we know of, and what’s more, the oldest in human history.

For handle material Fallkniven have used desert ironwood, an extremely hard and compact wood. It can be treated with any kind of furniture polish, gun stock oil or other liquids containing thinner and linseed oil. A black, low-hanging leather sheath houses the knife when not in use.

If you want a knife that will give you generations of service then the Fallkniven SK2 Embla is for you.

    New best knife

    Posted by T on 2nd Sep 2022

I have a number of knives spanning all budgets including Fallknivens. I have until now resisted paying even more for great knives with premium wooden and other handles. The Embla is a first. I have to say I am not even close to having any regrets. You can feel the quality and comfort holding this knife with your eyes closed. Open your eyes and it is stunning and this is no mere collector’s knife but a perfectly designed and built hard use tool with a very wide range ion capabilities. Worth every penny. I’m in danger of ignoring any “practical” (black rubber and plastic type) material in any knife in future! Thanks once again HH for the range and service.

    Fallkniven Embla

This is a work of art. I had a bit of a ropey start as, the first Embla that was delivered, was damaged. HH we’re good, I had the replacement within 4days. The wood is the artwork, it is comparable to Tiger’s Eye stone IMO. The build quality is flawless. The sharpness is immense, o.o.t.box. The leather sheath is very high quality. It does need a paracord strap, to help remove it, it’s a perfect, snug fit! 10/10

This is an outstanding knife. I love desert ironwood and with a top quality convex ground blade, what’s not to love?

    The Stunning Embla

Posted by Chris C on 6th May 2021

I bought this knife as a special 50th birthday present with some money I was given. I've no doubt it will outlast me with it's build quality and a simple design that's unlikely to be bettered. I also own a H1 so I know Fallkniven's quality already. Superb steel and razor sharp, the wood on mine is better than any I have seen in pictures with a beautiful dark grain. The ironwood actually looks better than the high end walnut on my shotguns and rifles. Looked after it will surely last a lifetime so the cost isn't important.

This is a really beautiful and balanced knife. It was perfectly sharp out of the box and the leather sheath is very well made.

    Perfect

Posted by Ray GB on 6th Jul 2020

I have the standard F1 and loved the size and utility, but wanted something similar but less tactical. I liked the shape and utility of the F1 Pro but didn't feel I could justify as I already had the F1. I checked out some or the 'custom' F1's and then I saw this...., Beautiful , functional and a great steel. Looking to swap out the dangler sheath for a scout sheath (personal choice). Quite a square chunky handle which is very comfortable and extremely well finished, Customer Service from Hennie was 2nd to none - sent be some handle pictures so I could choose the wood handle patter I liked best. and a very well informed conversation about the knife . Arrived next day. very personalised servce. will dffinitely use again

    pretty much perfect..

Nice, small fixed blade knife which would be perfect to carry all day around camp.. These guys really know how to make a premium blade, as the materials, fit & finish are beyond reproach... It's not a cheap knife, but they are making production blades which would put a lot of custom knife makers to shame, so probably good value for money in that sense. It would live on my belt 24/7 if it wasn't for the stupid UK laws..! Buy one..!
