Work Sharp Ken Onion MK.2 Elite

I used it first on a couple of beater knives and put an edge on them I didn't think possible, the whole paper slicing/nail testing/arm shaving whatever, and then did all my BD1N kitchen knives afterwards. Using the attachment tool for everything. I followed the instructions and used the extra stropping belt with compound to finish. It was so fast and so easy. I've them shaving sharp before but this is a couple steps beyond that. Absolutely ecstatic with this machine and anyone worried about convex edges somehow being lesser or wether this thing is a gimmick...don't be! It's absolutely worth it.

Not had this very long, Have sharpened and touched up my joker nomad (convex edge) and a gransford bruks axe with this device and it works pretty well, definitely sharp enough to part the hairs on your arm :). Less convex edges I am still not 100% convinced about. Its easy to use, and does not take long to set/reset and edge. Overall I am pretty pleased with it so far.

So just some context , I’m very fortunate to have access to a very large woodland, ( knife review to follow) I had the mk1 version of this plus the grinder attachment, I’m using knifes , billhooks , parangs on a daily basis as well as axes and as far as testing things I’m in I believe a unique position, my last work sharp failed ( help me out Heinnie if they can be repaired) so this a replacement, sooooo much better in terms of motor, setup , adjustment etc , the last one was good this one is much much better ( imo) is it expensive maybe , if you price up a standard one plus attachments not so much , would I recommend it absolutely!
