Since the inception of TOPS Knives in early 1998, military operatives from small specialised units have worked along side TOPS in a advisory capacity to design and craft the right tool for the right job (design by requirements). TOPS' collaboration with these individuals produces not what TOPS think they need, but what they actually need.
When the mission is complete TOPS can then put the feel of success in the hands of those that can and do appreciate a great tool, with or without a mission. The TOPS Delta Unit 3 has in addition to its activities in the field, undergone extensive testing and use by outdoorsmen throughout the Rocky Mountains. A characteristically short, strong knife built by purpose and need with a 9.2cm blade and a solid thickness of 0.63cm solid steel.

Brilliant everyday use. Great solid build, sharp out the box. After looking at many online sites I found Heinnie is a official TOPS distributer, and competitively priced. Recommended!
A nice heavy, well balanced knife. Fits nicely in the hand (I have quite large hands). Easily my favourite compact knife. A great bit of kit!
Owned and used my DU3 for over a year and this has become my go to compact belt knife. The staff at HH found me a bargain Boker (Tek-Lok styled) belt plate to replace the TOPs metal belt clip, making this setup phenomenal! I'm not normally a fan of shaped handles but the ergonomics of this knife are spot on for my large sized hands. The kydex sheath is pure perfection and the thick blade stock can take on tasks that I'd not put my much skinnier esee3 through. Sheath+Knife+Belt Plate come to a total weight of 277g, which is only +44g heavier that the same setup on my esee3 and well worth it.
