The TOPS Baja 3.0’s big brother has arrived - the TOPS Baja 4.5.
Based on customer feedback TOPS decided to stretch the popular 3 inch model. In place of the Coyote Tan powder coat, they’ve upgraded the finish with their famous Black River Wash, which gives each knife its own unique look. Green Canvas Micarta handle scales and a high-quality leather dangler sheath make this a must-buy for users and collectors alike.
Unlike TOPS’ other models in the 4 to 4.5 inch size range, this one is 5/32” thick. That thickness along with a full flat grind gives it strength over 1/8” blades, but allows it to maintain superb cutting capabilities since it’s slightly thinner than 3/16”. TOPS' professional heat treat gives a long lasting edge that is easy to re-sharpen once it is eventually needed. The jimping on the spine and along the finger guard is ideal for a solid grip in hard use or slippery conditions. Due to the thinner blade, it gives you better precision and greater range from making delicate cuts to cutting thick branches with ease. These same qualities make the TOPS Baja 4.5 great for food prep as well.
The inspiration for the name and design comes from Baja California. From the high point of Devil’s Peak at 10,157 feet, to the low Sonoran Desert, to the beautiful beaches, Baja is known for its contrasts. It is recognized worldwide for some of the most rugged, “bad ass” terrain.
Of course, TOPS are made in the USA!
