Description

The Maverick by Tactile Knife Co. was conceived in early 2022 when Richard Rogers and his wife Sally came by the Tactile workshop, met with the team, and got to see firsthand a young(ish) group with big ambitions to do something different from most of the knife world.

Tactile Knife Co. have a desire to build everything in house, seek the best and brightest minds in manufacturing and design, never skimp on equipment, take this core philosophy and translate it to the materials, practices, and pride they bring to the shop every day.

Richard Rogers got them a prototype and they set to work dialing in things like the textured pivot, stronger spring, and custom washers to make the action silky smooth yet functional in dirty environments. The result is the Maverick, an outstanding folder that proves innovation is still possible in both design and craftsmanship.

    Great knife from Tactile!

    I have received this today with great service from Heinnie, just in time for Christmas! No issues with the blade and I like the looks of this knife with the black micarta handles and grey pivot. It's a light weight magnacut knife and feels solid in the hand.

    Just Superb

    I saw this and pressed buy, despite it being rather spendy. I had vaguely heard of the brand but not the model and my immediate thought was that it was perhaps a Vox design as its similiar to the GM Sonoma, Reo and the Viper Key. It isn't but it could be, it's that good. It's a big knife with bladestock a tad thinner than the norm nowadays and hence is very slicy. The micarta handles feel more like G10 in their grippiness. The axis lock action is perfect. After getting this I have seen some videos which indicate tht this was a much in demand knife early in the year and some reviewers had issues with centring and the axis action. The knife I have received has no such issues. If you like Giant Mouse knives you will love this, it's abiyr as good as a knife, any knife, can get. It's straight in as one of my faourite knives of all time.
