Spyderco Para Military 2 G10 Digi Camo 18

Firstly I’d like to say that the paramilitary 2 is a knife that I have wanted to own for quite a few years but never owning a spyderco before I decided to buy a tenacious first, I bought my tenacious around 5 years ago, over time I replaced the G10 scales for titanium ones from flytanium and threw everything at this knife I could and it performed brilliantly,……..so after much consideration I got the para 2 thinking that the extra money and the reputation will blow the tenacious out of the water, the para 2 feels better in the hand than the tenacious but unfortunately that is where the pro’s end, 4 months into owning it I broke about 10mm of the tip of the blade, I was just whittling a piece of soft wood, nothing too taxing, to say I was shocked was an understatement, I’ve put my tenacious through some brutal punishment and it’s always been spot on, fair enough you have to sharpen it more often but hey ho. I’m not saying that the para 2 is not a great knife, it is but for around £140 less you’ll get a bullet proof knife in the tenacious, don’t get me wrong I’m a massive spyderco fan but I’ve now been completely put off buying another high end spyderco. Was looking to buy a military 2 but after this experience I will try the resilience instead and save myself £200, So sad but I’ve now taken to carrying my tenacious again for my work duties and retired the para 2 for simple tasks like box opening, cutting rope etc.

I don't think this really needs a review, it's tried and tested classic. Spyderco really think hard about every mm of their knives, and if something isn't quite right, ig soon gets updated to solve issue. I love the blade shape on this, it has a great clip point angled tip, without actually being clipped! It;s a very practical shape anyway, and fits nicely in my big hands.

Item is better than described. Dispatch was fast with great communication. All round great service. Will buy from again soon. Can't wait.

I always liked Spyderco knives and have a couple of smaller cheaper ones. This is way better though, really smooth opening and closing action. Just the right size for me and it arrived very sharp, I even managed to cut myself with it, doh!

A great knife, it’s become my favourite since buying it. I’ve always been impressed by Spydercos very high quality, this one goes way above in my eyes. As always Heinnie’s service & delivery is flawless.

First off excellent service form Hennie Hayes, helpful and friendly. After years of of watching reviews on YouTube, umming and ahhing about dropping £150 on a knife all I can say I didn't regret it. Out of the box it was shaving sharp, the action is buttery smooth (even on bushings) fit and finish is Damm near perfect. The blade just wants to cut and slice through everything be it cardboard, plastic, fruit, vegetables. I would highly recommend the paramilitary 2,yes its an expensive knife but you do pay for what you get.
