Dmitry Sinkevich is one of the hottest custom makers in the knife industry today. His first Spyderco collaboration, the Drunken, showcases his ability to combine artistic design and unparalleled craftsmanship with practical function.

The blade of this knife is full-flat ground from CPM S90V stainless steel and features a tumbled finish. It is paired with a stylishly ergonomic handle that includes a titanium scale on one side and a solid carbon fiber scale and nested stainless steel liner on the other. The titanium scale is “webbed” to reduce weight and forms the basis for the knife’s Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism, which includes a long-wearing stainless steel interface.

Both scales of the Spyderco Drunken are meticulously machined with the intricate “drunken” texture that gives the knife its name and are accented by a matching colour-anodised backspacer, pivot assembly, and right-side, tip-up pocket clip.

    (Yet) another Taichung Masterpiece

Posted by Malcolm M on 6th Jul 2021

I actually bucked the trend and bought this about 8 months before the similar Chef. I also feel this is well worth the money Spyderco charge for this thing that is beautifully designed, amazingly built and so skillfully executed. The blade is the beautifully finished mirror stonewash, like the techno 2, SB, Swayback etc and is razor sharp, pretty thin behind the edge and as such cuts almost as well as the chef. Action is butter smooth, particularly after a quick strip down with high fidget factor as you can thumb and spydie flick as well as slow roll out. The action is glassy, CRK smooth, like my swayback. Eegos excellent and I appreciate the slightly thicker, and contoured scales, over the chef even for my medium/ large hands. Yes, the clip is a bit pants, but as I'm in the UK I cannot legally carry so no big deal - I bent it slightly so no hot spots. Another spyderco that is not going anywhere. Definitely recommended.

    Drunken

Classic example of pure perfection and the attention to detail in the CNC machined scales are well made. The only thing that lets this knife down is... the clip. Spyderco really dropped the ball on this on detail. Apart from than its superb!

    Spyderco Drunken

Perfectly executed demonstration of some seriously magnificent CNC programming. Super light weight design with exceptional ergonomics. A different level of refinement which has to be expected at this price point, however, the level attained here is simply remarkable. The pocket clip is not great but it looks perfect andl I would suggest a lot of brands are looking at the growing after market replacement trend.
