Got this Knife for my 55th Birthday and boy am I glad to own it. it's small compact and beautifully made. I have the serrated model. Japanese engineering at its finest. I accept that a locking blade for fans of EDC like me is a difficult bridge to cross. but rest assured it's for use, not abuse. PEACE
I just love the Cricket and it has to be one of my favourite little knives of all time. I admit to being a bit of a Spyderco fan, and being a hand engraver I just love their stainless handled knives as they are a fabulous canvass for my work. I disagree about the point being easily damaged; surely it depends on how you use your knife? Any knife point used as a lever risks breaking but then you shouldn't be doing that anyway! The Cricket is light, fun and very ergonomic. It's just a shame our knife laws in the UK don't allow it to be an EDC.
I love Spyderco knives, but not this one! I have the zytel handled version of the cricket (not a HH knife) and it feels too small and to flimsy to be of any real use. Featherweight with a microscopically thin point, to the extent that its just too weak and too easily damaged. Great collector and fine for opening letters, but not much else. Not my favourite Spydie.
