The Rough Rider Damascus series offers outstanding value for money. Seldom have such affordable knives been produced to such a high quality. And the Damascus blades offer something a little bit different

Add to that a handsome "cinnamon" stag handle with nickel silver bolsters and you are on to a winner. The three extremely useful blades are a 4.44cm sheepsfoot, a 4.76cm spey and a 6.6cm clip point.

A fine addition to any collection.

Rough rider cinnamon stag Damascus stockman

Posted by Gareth on 13th Nov 2024

I do love this knife now I have given it lashing of TLC. The Spey blade is still a bit vague in the walk and talk department but it works. I'm not sure if it is real Damascus but it looks good and I can get a wicked edge on all the blades. The knife needed washing and scrubbing then I sanded the back spring area and the knife mouth with 180 grit sandpaper right through to 10000 grit to achieve a mirror finish, gave it some oil on the moving parts "wax it all" on the whole knife followed by another polish and it now looks like a £300 knife. Relaxing time well spent.

    R R 2160 Cinnamon stag stockman Damascus

Great knife but needs some work, as stag isn't uniform there's all ways going to be sharp eages round the insert badge (acron shield ) you need to sand/polish to get a smooth feel, once you have done this to whole knife it's a great knife, the stag is equally sized the blades are well spaced and Damascus carbon steel, For the price (less than half of the competition ) it's a good knife just needs a bit more finishing which would put the price up , Geat service, quick delivery by H&H Would recommend, .

Very nice and comfortable 3 blade knife

Posted by Tony Hilliard on 13th Aug 2024

Finish is very good, blades easy to pull out, action is very good, did a tiny bit of sanding on the Stag grip as it was higher by the acorn, easy to do, and a joy to use, Damascus pattern though not strong is very cool. A really pretty knife to have and use.

    Nice knife with faults

Posted by Chris Inston on 17th Aug 2021

Firstly Heinnie Haynes supplied an excellent service.. Now to the knife. The blades are really nice and very sharp out of the box. But the scales were very dull ( not like the photos) and the dye on the high spots had rubbed off. So dull with white patches and not luxurious and full coloured like the photos. That aside , the sheep’s foot blade is nigh on impossible to get out as the Spey blade covers the nail nick. I had to grind down the Spey blade to reveal the nail nick. It’s now fine but the Spey blade is now a clip blade. Now I have oiled the handle it looks better. All in all an alright knife but if it wasn’t for the amazing blades I would have sent it back.. Maybe I just got a duff one but with the modifications I am happy with it. The blades pump it up to 4 stars.
