The Rough Rider Highland Cattleman is a substantial knife with a good sized handle perfect for the knife user with larger hands. Despite its size both blades have a cutting edge under three inches so the knife is classed as UK friendly carry.
The large clip point and the small pen blade are both made from 440 stainless steel and are non-locking. It is a handsome looking knife from the Rough Rider Black Micarta series.
In contrast with this tough handle material there are brass liners, red underliners, nickel silver pins and bolsters, and a nickel silver Rough Rider badge shield.

Add to BasketBeing larger and heavier than other EDCs this could have been perfect....but the nail nick on the large blade is practically inaccessible without opening the small blade first. The small blade covers it with very little room to get a thumbnail in between. If only the nail nick on the larger blade could have been on the opposite side - simple!

The ROUGH RIDER HIGHLAND CATTLEMAN KNIFE is a beautiful and at the same time a robust get the job edc especially in the farming community. The master blade is a clip with a good thick stock and extra thick back spring and the secondary blade is a larger the normal pen. The clip will very useful cutting the netting off round bales of straw and slicing open the black plastic of silage. The micarta scales are excellent gives great grip and tho this is a large cigar jack it fits into your hand as if it fitted for you a very comfy an natural feel and the micarta resin will be able to take a hands covered in mud,fertilser etc without any ill affects yes it is a Cattleman knife and cracker. Mine has no gaps and pins flush and blades centred not too bad and pull about 5-51/2. Blade Grind great like a razor. Look forward to the next Cattleman knife due soon in Stag and with carbon steel blades. Weither you want an example of a Cattleman for your collection or too use here is the knife buy it for yourself these are original "Stockman" knife.
