QSP have made some excellent progress in the knife world especially with the work they have done in producing knives for other companies the quality they have been pumping out has left some in the knife industry speechless. This Variant PE is under their own brand and it is an excellent piece the fit and finish is beautiful the balance of the knife in hand is more or less perfect. The action is very good the front flipper might take a bit of practice if you’re not use to that way of opening a knife or are a person that hasn’t got the strength in their thumb ( which is not a bad thing but until you get that strength then you want find it easy ) the thumb or finger flick it very smooth. The blade grind is bang on the money and the edge is perfectly sharp enough SOTB for anyone give it a quick strop and then it’s watch your finger tips sharp. All in all this is a fantastic version of Jacob Lundquist original version with the added joy of it being slightly larger than his and lower in price but in no way a compromise as this is a piece that stands out on its own. I would be surprised if I end up getting all 3 versions just to complete the set this will sound stupid to the average person but to the knife enthusiasts/collector it will make perfect sense lol . Happy purchasing people
