Kizer have been around for a little while making some great knives. Their latest designs, however, are now competing with the best and are beginning to require the moniker "excellent". They have gone from great to off the scale!
The Kizer Pinch G10 is a cracking little knife. The handle is tough G10 with pocket clip attached whilst the blade is N690 stainless steel with a stonewash finish. The blade is non-locking and just over three inches long.

Add to BasketThis knife has a lot going for it, unfortunately the slip joint is terrible. I like everything else about the knife, the steel, shape, blade, handle. But if I put any pressure on the spine with my thumb the blade starts to fold, there is little or no detent at all to stop it closing once it starts.
There's a lot to like about this knife, clean lines, substantial blade, good weighty feel in the hand, milled backspacer and great build quality. Just a shame that the single sided detent spring is so woefully weak. I cant help thinking that if Kizer had put a detent spring in both liners, or given it an extended tang and made it more of a friction folder it would have been a really great knife, but as is it really lets it down. I like the rest of it so much that I'm happy to keep it, but if you like a strong spring on your slipjoints you're probably best avoiding
