The Ka-Bar Backpack Kaster, colloquially known as the "Hobo Hand Line" is a great way to catch your dinner without the need for a cumbersome rod when you're travelling light and on the move. The handle has a hollow storage compartment for your lures and spare line and the whole thing is made from Ultramid, an extremely tough almost indestructible material. Your line attaches to the head and a clamp secures your line and lure in place when not in use.

Add to BasketStrong and robust bit of kit, extremely expensive for a lump of moulded plastic though. The storage in the handle is okay but very small and the spool area is not really recessed enough to my mind. The line retaining clip is useful.
Bought this on a whim, and it really is good. Loaded it with 6lb line popped a couple of small floats, & hooks in the handle and all set. great little bit of kit.
