it's not just a knife it's a piece of art at a reasonable price, I absolutely recommend it.
This is just perfect, no one blinks at an eye at the penfold, my ukpk looks the penfold doesn't, it's solid build, exotic metals and shaving shard edge juust wins hands down, pure class. It is function meets performance but in a stunning package
Brilliant knive worth the money great service as usual from hh very pleased
What can I say that hasn't already been said? I bought this as a replacement EDC, because my Boker camp knife which has been a faithful companion since the 70's is way past due for retirement! It's hard to fault the Heinnie Penfold. It's built like a tank, aesthetically pleasing, and looks like it will last long enough to see me out. It's one of those rare knives that feels great in the hand, and I'd be happy to carry for any occasion. I like to put my own mark on a knife that will be a constant companion, so I've cut the dark grey stone wash finish back and polished the scales to a high gloss. I then used 24 carat gold leaf to highlight around the heinnie logos, and then added a red & black lanyard, along with a titanium heinnie bead, which has also been highly polished, and the 4 heinnie logos highlighted in 24 carat gold to match the knife. To finish it off I've made an end bead of polished natural red coral. I'm really pleased with the result, but it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea I guess. I'm so impressed with this knife, that I will be buying a second one in the near future. The only (tiny) problem I had was getting the lanyard through the really small space provided. I had to loop microcord through the lanyard and use it as a pull through to fit the lanyard. Don't hesitate for a second to buy one of these fantastic knives, they're worth every penny. TIP: If you want a slip case to protect your investment, buy a fallkniven soft pouch, available for a fiver from HH. It fits so well that it could have been custom made for the Penfold, and the soft suede feels lovely in the hand. Top marks for this one HH!
Great little pocket knife. Can't find any fault really. Great "walk and talk". Very nice in the hand. A perfect blend of old meets new
What can I say, that hasn't been said already in the other reviews. For the money you pay, it's well worth it for the materials used. This has quickly become my favourite pocket companion. As mentioned in a previous review I would love to see a blue titanium handle version. Top class service from HH as we've all become accustomed. Why shop anywhere else!
I think all of my sentiments have been summed up by the previous reviewers. This is a sturdy little beast. When you think about it, s35vn steel blade, titanium handle and engraved To boot, you can’t get much better. My recommendation for the next Heinne branded blade would bethis one but with the titanium handle anodised differ
Got this delivered the day after ordering it and I must say I'm very impressed. The titanium scales have some nice milling work on them and are a pleasure in the hand. The blade opens with ease, without having to use the nail nick which is good for me as I'm aa nail biter. Both grinds are even and the blade has come very sharp as standard. In the closed position the blade is perfectly centered and there are no gaps along the back spring. All in all I would definately recommend this knife as a good daily user
