Tre Kronor, the Swedish knife series, offers a highly
advanced technological solution combined with
timeless Swedish design. As the result of a long
development process, Fallkniven are the first company in the
world to be able to offer a laminated knife blade in 3G
steel, edged with sintered steel, or powder steel. To
this edge steel, they have added a resilient, anticorrosive
steel which stabilises the hard centre. This gives a
rigid, strong blade that retains its edge extremely well.
These knives are in the Swedish minimalist idiom,
where form harmonises with function. The result is an
edged implement that the user will find an easy and
accommodating knife a world-beater from Sweden. If
one wishes to treat oneself to a truly beautiful,
technically complete knife, then TK2 is an obvious
choice: it is quite simply exceptional. The laminated
powder steel offers strength and an edge never
previously found on the world market. Every knife is
manually produced by experienced, skilled knife
makers, which means that each knife is unique.

If price and performance are the deciding factors, then
TK2 is the hands-down winner. The secure,
comfortable grip and the powerful blade in laminated
powder steel form a combination whose value is
unparalleled in the world. It is a utility knife which one
can rely on and which will perform for you through
thick and thin.

    Amazing blade, poor handle

    Posted by Paulhw100 on 30th Nov 2014

This has to be one of the finest quality, most simplistic yet elegant knives, I have ever owned. The steel is superb, I'm not a fan of stainless, but this is really something else. When people are all rattling on about how good fallkniven is, it's true.
Now to its Achilles heel, the handle. It's mad of a very nice rubbery stuff with a nice textured finish, only snag is its just too small. Your index finger and your second finger get a lovely grip, but then the handle just tapers away to hardly anything at all, I just can't get a good grip on it at all.
I've got large hands but this handle really is tiny.
If you've got very small hands, this will be one of the best purchases you'll ever make

    Below expectations

Posted by Holdfast on 14th Jun 2014

Poor fitting Zytel sheath, parts bin from F1, zero blade retention that rattles against the blade, better to go with the leather option. Blade arrived dull and with grind marks. Handle to guard was poor match and required hand finishing. For a knife of this price I can only hope that the steel lives up to its legend. Usual excellent services from HH, they deliver.

    Chinese ?

Posted by Simon on 15th May 2014

ThisTk 2 was gifted to me in France and therefor in no way reflects the first class service of Heinne Haynes.
For a knife in this price category, the Zytel sheath is an insult to any blade; it fails to retain the knife securely, looks like a cheap mass moulded chinese production item, rattles around the blade and is furnished with a riveted nylon belt loop that has no stitching and heat cut ends.
The knife handle is poorly matched to the guard and the blade was delivered blunt with a rough matt finish.
At this price Falkniven need to catch a grip.

    Marvellous blade

Posted by Simon on 7th Sep 2012

Had for 5 years now - where does the time go? Camping in the Outback, Fishing, Sailing and Diving (yes I made a sheath from some RIB tube material and a plastic liner with velcro straps for the diving). Edge touches up with a few strokes of the ceramic side of their diamond and ceramic sharpener. Use it for slicing rather than chopping - that's what axes are for - and haven't found a general purpose blade to touch it, whether it's game or fish preparation or cutting withies to make a basket or cutting rope on the boat. It's replaced my Oceanic Knife which had been a companion for more than 20 years because it holds its edge better.....just have to remember to dry it and oil it when its been in the sea. Only complaint - the handle could do with being a little thicker, but then I have large hands! I also have an Idun and whilst it too is a wonderful knife, with its leather handle I daren't use it in and around the sea in the same way.

    The only knife?

Posted by Ed Macnair on 25th Jul 2012

I have more knives than I care to think of but since I bought the TK2 it's the only knife that comes out into the field with me.
The edge on this knife is simply superb. A few minutes stropping gets it sharper than any other knife in my collection and it retains that sharpness even after dressing 4 deer in succession.
The handle is relatively small but enables dexterity and the grip is very good when your hands are wet and greasy.
This is my first Fallkniven and probably my last as I can't see myself ever needing to buy another one unless its just to look at!

    TK2 Sheath Knife By Fallkniven

Posted by John Booth on 20th Mar 2011

I own four Fallkniven blades two folders and two fixed blades the TK2 and PXL are the two best knives I have ever owned. The TK2 is at home in field as well as the kitchen which means you get full use. The functional yet minimalist design of these knives makes them very attractive and highly use-able. Just touch the edge every now and again with a small leather strop to keep the blade edge razor sharp - fantastic blades from Sweden.
