    Great little set.

A great little set, really well made by a quality German company. Has a nice hard anodised finish, is compact, light and come with a carry pouch. Perfect for carrying with you for a quick cuppa tea in the woods. Only downside is that Heinnie appear to not sell the solid fuel tablets, so had to hunt these out on the high street, but otherwise superb service as ever.

    Simple and effective

I like this little cookset a lot. It's neat, light and bullet-proof. There's nothing to go wrong. The size is just right for a brew for one person or a bit of quick-cook pasta or noodles. Hexamine might not be the most versatile fuel but it is the epitome of simplicity. Like another reviewer, I use quartered army hexamine tablets - much cheaper than Esbit. Wrap them in foil and put them in a plastic bag, and you can store them inside the pot without any smell problems. Two quarters is the equivalent of a single Esbit tab and should get you to a boil; if you need a longer simmer then add another quarter as they burn out. If you use the foil to line the burner pan, then clean-up is easy and you have no worries about hexamine residues ending up inside the cooking pot when you pack up again. Hexi does leave some residue on the outside of the pot, but no worse than any other solid fuel, and it's easily wiped off on the grass. Plus you have the mesh bag to prevent any remaining residue from getting on other items in your pack. The volume markings are very clear and easy to read on the inside of the pot. The position of the spout is awkward if you're right-handed and want to use the pot as a cup. And in cold or windy conditions, an additional foil windshield is very beneficial. These are both very minor criticisms so I still rate it 5 stars.

Superb little cooker, compact and well made, I can get six Army hexamine tablets quartered and bagged within the pot and cooker so very self contained and fool proof.
