CRKT PILAR III D2
A modern classic. This knife’s a beauty. The pared down aesthetic of Jesper Voxnaes design, the stonewash finish, the rock-solid framelock, the elegance of the materials used… it’s better in the hand than I’d imagined. Brilliantly functional too and better in D2. There’s plenty of heft in the 3.8mm thick blade: I’ve spent all day working wood and cutting boxes with it – but the weight feels good, it’s nicely balanced and the finger choil is great for control when you’re cutting down hard. Full marks to CRKT for my knife of the year. 5 stars also to Heinnie H for a superfast delivery!
