Add to BasketFor chopping use the handle on this Bowie is probably the best I have. Very annoyingly I hit a price of steel hidden under what I was chopping and put a ding in the edge. It sharpened out though and I put a convex edge on. This feels like a tool first, not a wall hanger. Tempted to get another just to rehandle with something fancy. A great Bowie and something you wouldn’t freak out about if it fell on the floor. I think Condor might make the Marbles machetes? Same stamp on them
I really like this knife especially now that I’ve made a few little changes to it which makes it a lot better. The first thing I did was gone blew the blade to stop it rusting so much, this has the added benefit of making it look quite cool now in the darkened blade almost tactical. Second my dad made was to take the parrot beak off the back of the handle down the bottom of the grip, this protuberance really dug into the Hadwin chopping or using different grips so it only took about a minute to sand this down with my bent sander which made the overall grip much more comfortable. This is quite a very large knife but it’s well balance and can be used in many different functions it’s a bit big for Bushcraft great for a large camp nice makes you feel like you are one of those mountain men in the American frontiers.
