Specifications

The Cold Steel Spike designed by Barry Dawson, is a Cold Steel Knife pared down to its bare essentials. Its thick, narrow blade is distal tapered and flat ground to a zero edge. This creates a unique cross section that facilitates cutting power previously unknown in such a thick, narrow blade. The integral handle of The Spike compliments its minimalist theme. It has been carefully shaped out of solid steel, wrapped with cord and had all of its sharp edges "melted" so they don't irritate the hand. Each spike comes with a sturdy Secure-Ex sheath and steel bead lanyard so you can wear it around your neck or lash it to a "D" ring, back pack, or other gear.

The Upswept option is also known as the Tokyo in the detailed image.

Got the tanto version as I couldn't decide between this and the Kershaw dune. The cold steel spike wins hands down. Slightly bigger than the dune but much better grip. Handle material is a bit cheap looking but does the job and not complaing for the price. Blade nice and sharp and comes with a decent sheath that holds it well, just replaced the chain with paracord.

A fantastic knife from CS, Very comfortable to hold in hand, razor sharp. Wearing as a neck knife you barely notice it, the knife is pone of my favourite ones now. been let down by a UPS driver who rather than delivering to the collection point delivered the knife to the SCHOOL which is next to the collection point. A package with a symbol of a knife to the school ???. Definitely they are a Useless Postal Service. Great support from Nick from CS, thank you

I ordered this knife & as always very quick delivery. Although all the pictures I looked at showed something that looked slim & fiddly, I was wrong. It is quite thick, has a 4" blade 4" handle,its very trippy & comfortable in the hand. I have average hand size & it fits perfectly. The sheath is secure Ex & they are very well made & it fits like a glove & has just the right amount of tension. The dog tag chain is also quality. I own a buck 110 light & in comparison the blade on the spike is 1cm longer than the buck although not as wide it is also thicker. I will be buying the rest of the blade styles. Well worth the money.

Gifted this from a friend, And I like it. Don't let it's small size put you off as a back up blade I can't fault it, lightweight sharp from the box nice fitting sheath. Overall a very good knife.

Haven't yet tested it thoroughly as I'd like but seems to be well made, light as anything, sharp as well. Will suit smaller hands unless you put some sort of grip tape around the handle as its very slim but for me its perfect

Iv used this for 3 to 4 years now. Im a field archer and when iv got too dig an arrow out of a tree or the frame of a target it does the job. Sometimes the arrow is in 3/4inch or more. Soft steal I downt think so. No problems with the chane replaced it with para cord. What more can i say.
