Cold Steel's President, Lynn Thompson bought the first knife that custom maker, Lloyd Pendleton ever made in 1973. Now the two friends have collaborated to produce one of Lloyd's most popular knives, the Cold Steel Lloyd Pendleton Mini Hunter.
This knife is a handsome reproduction of Lloyd Pendleton's Drop Point Hunter. It has an 8.8cm (3½") blade with a sharp yet sturdy point for piercing and a truly razor sharp edge with plenty of belly.
With its tapered full tang construction and extra stout "spine" it's virtually indestructible and, in a pinch, can double as a life saving survival knife.

This is the modern version of my dads 60 year old stacked handle Boy Scout knife. If I’m being honest I have the vg10 version so can’t speak for the steel but that’s never the whole story, the rubber and ergonomics are superb, so is the carry system for the price, the shape of the blade will perform almost all buschraft chores as well as great at carving due to its small size. This really is the only fixed blade most of us ever really need, one of cold steels most underrated blades, and if you want to feel ok about having a small blade team it with a trail master or a1x ! Then you got it all covered!! Bang for buck this knife hits a lot of points.
Received next day. Usual quality service. An excellent little fixed blade, good steel, even grind and with a quick strop, shaving sharp. Perfect knife for all small game jobs, unobtrusive to carry and with a clever grip that seems to fit a multitude of hand shapes. Highly recommended.

Great materials. Good design. Do not be deceived with the size - this is a very capable but compact knife.
It is a lovely little knife. However, if blade steel is important to you the one I received is made from AUS-10A, not CPM-3V. The photos are correct the current written specification incorrect. Personally I would have preferred and thought I was paying for CPM-3V. However, I like the knife so much I won't be sending it back
